For me to explain the difference between effective management and effective leadership. I need to explain what makes a great manager and an effective leader. To guide the team towards success, the manager has the responsibility to make appropriate decisions that will guide the team in the right direction. Competent leaders, on the other hand, have people who respect and trust their choices and take them with complete confidence. As a manager, you must have sufficient leadership skills and be liked by your team members if you wish to succeed. A great leader needs to possess the following traits and qualities:
